Menouche (Raymond-Marie Bujold) was the son of Albert Bujold. “We used to call it lac à Albert (Albert’s Lake), and the younger ones called it lac à Menouche (Menouche’s Lake).”1 People ice-skated there. Sometimes, the bravest would fall into the freezing water. “There’s always a spot on the lake, where the water flows in and out, that does not freeze.”2 It was always “Who dares get the closest?”3
“My parents never really worried… Not like today’s parents.”4
